Introduction to System Administration
Duration:
Two days
This course covers basic system level administration of the StorHouse/SM
multi-level storage software including security (user, group, and file
level security), storage allocation strategies, file migration and system
performance. Additional topics include file backup, archive and recovery.
This course includes hands-on exercises.

StorHouse/SM Technical Overview

Objectives:
Upon completion of this course the students will:
Be able to identify files, groups, and versions
Understand
the use of multi-level storage management
Understand
the use of Volume Sets and File Sets to allocate, manage and control
multi-level storage
Understand
the directory structures maintained by the StorHouse/SM software
Learn
to use the StorHouse/Admin GUI for StorHouse/SM administrative commands
Understand
how to backup and restore files
Understand
how to backup critical system files and directories
