This course is customized for site specific operation requirements. In
this course, students learn the basic concepts of StorHouse's multi-level
storage management software and a fundamental overview of the site-specific
hardware and software is covered. Each student learns how to use one or
more interfaces to provide operational support for a StorHouse system
and application. Course material covers StorHouse messages which require
operator action and response.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this course the students will:
Be able to identify the hardware components which are managed by StorHouse/SM
Learn
the basic concepts of StorHouse/SM multi-level storage management
Learn
the procedures to sign on and off the StorHouse/SM software using the
SM console, MVS host interface, or StorHouse/Admin (which ever is appropriate
for the environment)
Learn
to perform daily StorHouse/SM operator duties
Manage
the movement of removable storage cartridges between levels of storage
Label
and insert volumes into StorHouse/SM library devices
Be
able to interpret and respond to StorHouse/SM operator messages
Power
up and power down StorHouse/SM hardware components
