FileTek's CDP-Enabled Archive for Seismic DataEliminate Polycuts with StorHouse Download a PDF version of this data sheet. The vigorous exploration for crude energy has resulted in many challenges for the Oil and Gas industry. Among these are the problems associated with storing and accessing the surge of seismic trace data required for processing and interpretation. FileTek addresses
these issues with StorHouse®, a high-volume, online storage and database
management system that, when combined with existing GIS applications,
can integrate related seismic data (pre-stack, post-stack, navigation)
within one archive. This integration expands the reach of existing databases
and enables users to directly retrieve shot point and/or CDP-level data
managed by StorHouse at the detailed level from their current applications.
Elimination
of Polycuts with Relational Row-Level Access StorHouse eliminates polycuts because it structures data on a common depth point/trace-by-trace-basis, with associated X, Y coordinates, which StorHouse individually indexes and references. This provides an archive architecture that is already configured as a ready-made polycut. The net effect? Increased accuracy and productivity. Furthermore, because StorHouse can easily scale up to multi-petabytes, it enables explorers to manage years of proprietary and/or speculative survey data in one central repository. Next
