Trusted
Edge Desktop Data Management Suite for Desktop-Based ECM.
Trusted Edge Desktop Data Management Suite is digital asset management
software that provides policy-driven desktop classification, capture,
and disposal solutions for unstructured data such as e-mail, documents,
and files. The software classifies business assets according to their
value, enabling enterprises to enforce retention, disposal, and hold policies
at the desktop level.
Based on business rules, the software enables users to
categorize an asset at creation time; tags content to make it self-describing;
and routes a copy of tagged information to one or more content management
solutions or repositories such as Microsoft SharePoint, IBM Content Manager,
Symantec Enterprise Vault, Open Text Livelink, and standard file share.
For example, an asset classified as a draft can initially be routed to
a file share, subsequently routed to an ECM solution
once it becomes reclassified as final, or be sent simultaneously to both
destinations. Learn
