FileTek's StorHouse Data Management System Supports IBM 3592 Magstar Drives in IBM 3584 Libraries
Added Technology Choices Increase StorHouse Value in IBM Environments

Rockville, MD (April 26, 2005) - FileTek, Inc., a data access and management software company, today announced support for IBM 3592 Magstar drives in IBM 3584 libraries. By adding these devices to the StorHouse® virtual storage hierarchy, FileTek makes it easier than ever to install the StorHouse family of products in IT environments where IBM technology, including tape libraries and AIX platforms, is the customer standard. In addition to Magstar drives in IBM 3584 libraries, StorHouse supports such devices as high-performance RAID, inexpensive SATA RAID, massive arrays of idle disks (MAID), WORM and erasable optical, and high-density and high-performance tape in non-IBM libraries.

FileTek's StorHouse is a comprehensive data storage and access management system specifically designed to administer massive amounts of structured and unstructured fixed content, historical data, and their associated backups. StorHouse technology combines industry-leading, scalable storage devices and Open System processors with specialized storage management, file system interface, and relational database management system (RDBMS) software components.
