Enters Latin American Market; Appoints PHD Brasil as Distributor -
PHD Will Market, Integrate, and San Paulo, Brazil (April 16, 2002) - FileTek, Inc., a data storage and access management systems provider today announced that it has signed a Distributor Agreement with PHD Brasil Ltda., a leading integrator of large data warehousing systems that support Business Intelligence (BI) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software applications. The agreement was announced here during the Business Intelligence 2002 conference at the Amcham Convention Center. Under the agreement, PHD will hold the Brazilian rights to market, distribute, integrate, and support all FileTek products, including the company's StorHouse® data management software product. This accord signals FileTek's entrance into the Latin American high technology market. PHD, founded in 1989, specializes in building large data management systems within the UNIX, Windows® NT, and mainframe environments. With a team of top-level professionals, the company provides various services to companies such as Banco do Brasil, Telefonica Celular, Banco Itaú, and Brasil Telecom. PHD also offers consulting from a group of highly regarded BI and CRM experts, such as Bill Inmon, Partner of Billinmon.com, to advise their current and potential clients.
