Press ReleaseLitton PRC Adds StorHouse® to its Storage on Demand Services - FileTek's Product to Help Reduce Storage Costs and Enable Data Access Rockville, MD (April 3, 2001) – FileTek, Inc., a data management solutions provider, and Litton PRC Inc., a subsidiary of Litton Industries (NYSE:LIT) today announced a joint agreement allowing Litton PRC to offer FileTek's flagship StorHouse® data management software as part of the company's Storage on Demand Services (SODS) marketed to the Federal Government and commercial enterprises. As part of the arrangement, StorHouse will be added to the SODS portion of the Litton PRC GSA Information Technology Schedule. This agreement will permit organizations to drastically cut their data ownership costs, while keeping all their information readily accessible. The SODS offering provides flexible and scalable outsourced storage solutions to meet the needs of high growth, storage intensive environments. Storage hardware and software is provided and managed by Litton PRC at an agency or company site, thereby removing all ownership worries. Incremental storage capacity is delivered rapidly as it is needed, providing predictable and controlled costs. StorHouse enhances Litton PRC's SODS by utilizing RAID, optical, and cost-effective high-speed tape storage while allowing relational access using standard SQL.
