FileTek Establishes New European Company

Rockville, MD (June 20, 2000) – FileTek, Inc. announced today that it has established FileTek, GmbH*, a new company offering sales and technical support for its data management solutions within central Europe. The company, located outside of Heidelberg, Germany, will be responsible for revenue growth within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. FileTek, a leading enterprise data management solutions provider, is the developer of StorHouse® patented award-winning software.

Leo Kistner will head FileTek, GmbH as Business Development Manager. Mr. Kistner has many years' experience in the data storage industry, most recently with StorageTek, GmbH. StorHouse is the only storage management system incorporating a relational database capability that allows direct access to rows stored across all storage media (e.g., tape, RAID, optical). FileTek designed StorHouse to manage terabytes to petabytes of enterprise-wide atomic or detailed data, enabling the storage and exploitation of exhaustive business information, such as: Internet clickstream detail data, telephone call details, market basket data, and financial transactions.
