Dave Daughters Appointed Sr. Director of Business Development - Former Oracle Director Joins Maryland Company

Rockville, MD (June 12, 2000) – FileTek, Inc. today announced the appointment of Dave Daughters as Senior Director of Business Development. FileTek, a leading enterprise data management solutions provider, is the developer of StorHouse®, patented award-winning software.

Mr. Daughters, who has over twenty-five years' experience in the information technology industry, comes to FileTek after five years with Oracle Corporation. There, as Director, Partner Development-Global Public Sector, he specialized in broadening partner relationships to develop repeatable Oracle-based solutions worldwide. Prior to Oracle, Mr. Daughters worked at IRI Software, and Falcon Microsystems, Inc. Mr. Daughters holds a BS degree from the University of Maryland and has done advanced study at the Johns Hopkins University, School of Advanced International Studies. He is also fluent in Spanish.

"Dave's mission at FileTek is to develop a strategic business partnership strategy," said Rob Simonds, FileTek's Vice President of Marketing. "To do this, he will identify and manage these relationships to leverage revenue opportunity when appropriate. These partners will include, among others, Independent Software Vendors (ISV) and Application Service Providers (ASP). StorHouse is the only storage management system incorporating a relational database capability that allows direct access to rows stored across all storage media (e.g., tape, RAID, optical).
