Michael Smith

General Manager, Trusted Edge Products Group

Mr. Smith has over 15 years’ experience in managing high technology companies. He joined FileTek in May of 2007 soon after FileTek acquired the assets of Trusted Edge.

Prior to joining FileTek, Mr. Smith provided management consulting services to technology companies in areas such as business development, operations, finance, and corporate governance. Prior to consulting, Mr. Smith served as President and Chief Financial Officer of Elgin Technologies, a manufacturer of specialty power supplies for the telecommunications and commercial lighting sectors.

Mr. Smith has previously served on the Board of Directors for the following companies: Treev, Inc. (acquired by Metavante), Elgin Technologies, Inc., and Maxoptix Corporation.

He received a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Akron.
