Mark Seamans

Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

As Executive Vice President and CTO, Mr. Seamans is focused on closely linking FileTek technology and R&D investments to the most pressing and highly-valued customer requirements. He also serves as FileTek's key communicator regarding the company's technology vision and direction.

He has over 20 years of experience in the design, development, and delivery of enterprise software solutions, and he joined FileTek in February 2010.

From 2005 through late-2008, Mark was the divisional CEO for the Cardiff business unit of Autonomy - a worldwide leader in pan-enterpise search and meaning-based computing technology.  At Cardiff,  he had overall responsibility for the unit's sales, technology and operational execution.

Mark joined Autonomy after their acquision of Verity - a NASDAQ listed company focused on enteprise search and automated information processing - where he was the Senior Vice President of R&D from 2003 through 2006.  Mark joined Verity after their acquisition of Cardiff Software where he served as CTO and a member of the board of directors beginning in 1995.

His prior professional experience also includes six years as a member of the engineering and professional services teams at NCR/Teradata where he focused on enterprise application development and the deployment of large-scale database solutions. 

Mark holds an undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California, San Diego and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Colorado's National Technological University.
